N,N-Dimethylethanolamine is a transparent, pale yellow liquid and primary alcohol that is used as a building block for the synthesis of cationic flocculants and ion exchange resins. It is also used used as a chemical intermediate for pharmaceuticals, dyes, corrosion inhibitors, and emulsifiers and as an additive to boiler water, paint removers, and amino resins.
