The Kimble 781001-2942 is a high-performance Precision Stirrer Bearing designed for high-vacuum and high-torque applications. It is engineered to allow a 10 mm stir shaft to rotate smoothly within a 29/42 standard taper joint while maintaining an airtight seal. The internal bore is ground and polished to a very tight tolerance. This minimizes “shaft wobble,” which is critical when stirring viscous reactions or using high-speed motors. The primary contact surfaces are borosilicate glass, ensuring the bearing is compatible with aggressive reagents and will not leach contaminants into your reaction.
