Dioxane, Reagent, ACS is a colorless liquid known as a heterocyclic organic compound. It has a light sweet odor similar to that of diethyl ether and is classified as an ether. Miscible in water and hygroscopic, it is primarily used as a stabilizer for 1,1,1-trichloroethane while in storage or transport in aluminum containers. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured Dioxane is used as the quality standard against which other substances are graded and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and purity.
