Xylenes, Reagent, ACS is a hydrocarbon that is aromatic and is a mixture of isomers. Used as a solvent that is colorless and has a sweet aroma but is extremely flammable. It is used in the laboratory in conjunction with dry ice to act as a coolant. As an ACS grade Reagent, Spectrum Chemical manufactured compound is used as the quality standard against which other substances are grade and has met the toughest regulatory standards for quality and pureness.
